Polity & Governance: The Delhi government has invoked the Disaster Management Act, 2005, to empower District Magistrates (DMs) to take direct action against unauthorized constructions. Furthermore, the income ceiling for Kashmiri migrant relief has been removed to ensure broader support.

Economy & Finance: In a boost to the aviation sector, the Value Added Tax (VAT) on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has been slashed from 25% to 7%. The Union Cabinet also approved a Rs 39,290 crore package for various infrastructure projects including airline support.

Environment: A dedicated Rs 5,041 crore scheme has been approved to replace older BS-IV trucks and buses with BS-VI or electric variants in the Delhi-NCR region to mitigate air pollution.

Judiciary: The Delhi High Court upheld the government's decision to restrict the messaging app Telegram temporarily as a measure to prevent paper leaks and malpractices before the NEET-UG retest.

Delhi EV Policy 2.0 mandates electric-only autos from Jan 2027 and two-wheelers from April 2028.
