International Relations: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with the President of Iran. The discussions primarily focused on bilateral cooperation, including the development of the Chabahar Port and the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).

Economy & Finance: The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) issued the notification for the extension of the appeal filing date for the GSTAT. The previous deadline was adjusted to ensure taxpayers are not penalized for the delay in the administrative setup of the benches.

Polity & Governance: The GST Council serves as the primary decision-making body for GST in India, headed by the Union Finance Minister and comprising Finance Ministers of all States/UTs.

Bilateral Security: During the India-Iran talks, regional security concerns and the stability of the Middle East (West Asia) were highlighted as shared interests.
