In a major development for state-level job seekers, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has commenced the recruitment process for 6,000+ vacancies in the Haryana Police Department (General Duty). The vacancies are distributed among male and female candidates, offering a prestigious uniformed service career within the state.

Crucially, this recruitment drive is strictly linked to the Common Eligibility Test (CET) mechanism. Only candidates who have successfully qualified the HSSC CET (Group C) examination are eligible to submit their applications. Physical Measurement and Selection Criteria

The selection process is multi-tiered to ensure absolute transparency and physical fitness. The first stage will be the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Male candidates are required to run 2.5 Kilometers in 12 minutes, while female candidates must complete 1.0 Kilometer in 6 minutes. These physical tests are purely qualifying in nature.

Candidates clearing the physical parameters will be shortlisted for the Knowledge Test, which carries a 94.5% weightage. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Agriculture/Animal Husbandry basics. Additional socio-economic criteria marks (up to 2.5%) will be awarded to eligible candidates as per state government rules.
