Common Eligibility Criteria for all schemes:

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Applicant should not be receiving any other pension benefits from the Central or State Government.
  • An Aadhaar-linked bank account is mandatory for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Specific Eligibility Criteria:

1. UP Old Age Pension (Vridhavastha Pension Yojana):

  • Age: 60 years or above.
  • Annual Family Income: Below ₹46,080 for rural areas and below ₹56,460 for urban areas.
  • Household Exclusion: Not in government service.

2. UP Widow Pension (Nirashrit Mahila Pension Yojana):

  • Age: 18 years to 60 years (some sources indicate 18-59 years).
  • Marital Status: Applicant must be a widow, and a death certificate of the husband is required.
  • Remarriage: Should not have remarried.
  • Annual Family Income: Not exceeding ₹2,00,000 from all sources.

3. UP Divyang Pension (Divyangjan Pension Yojana):

  • Age: 18 years or above.
  • Disability: Minimum 40% disability, certified by a competent medical authority (e.g., CMO) or holding a UDID card.
  • Annual Family Income: Below ₹46,080 for rural areas and below ₹56,460 for urban areas.

4. UP Leprosy-affected Divyang Pension (Kushthavastha Pension Yojana):

  • Age: No age restriction.
  • Disability: Disability due to leprosy, even 1% is sufficient, certified by the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Annual Family Income: Below ₹46,080 for rural areas and below ₹56,460 for urban areas.

  • Bank Passbook: Photocopy of the first page with account number, IFSC code, and beneficiary's name. The account must be Aadhaar-linked.
  • Domicile Certificate (Residence Proof): Required to confirm permanent residency in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Husband's Death Certificate: (For Widow Pension applicants) Issued by a competent authority.
  • Disability Certificate / UDID Card: (For Divyang Pension applicants) Issued by the Chief Medical Officer or a competent medical board, indicating minimum 40% disability. For leprosy-affected individuals, a certificate from the CMO is sufficient, regardless of the percentage.
