To be eligible for the Delhi Ladli Scheme (for existing beneficiaries, as new applications are closed):
- Residency: The girl child and her parents must be bonafide residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi for at least three years preceding the date of application.
- Birth in Delhi: The girl child must have been born in Delhi, verifiable by a birth certificate issued by the Registrar (Births & Deaths), MCD/NDMC.
- Family Income: The annual family income of the parents of the girl child should not exceed ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh) from all sources.
- Girl Child Limit: Financial assistance under this scheme is restricted to a maximum of two surviving girl children per family.
- School Enrollment (for school-going girls): If the girl is school-going, she must be enrolled in a government, MCD, NDMC, or any government-recognized school in Delhi.
- Age Limit: For newborn girls, application had to be made within one year of birth. For school-going girls, within 90 days of admission to Class 1, 6, 9, or 12, or after passing Class 10.
