To be eligible for the Rajasthan Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana (MAAY), applicants must be permanent residents of Rajasthan. The scheme categorizes beneficiaries into two main groups:

1. Free Benefit Category (State Government pays full premium):

  • Families registered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
  • Families identified under the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011.
  • Small and Marginal Farmers (proof of landholding required).
  • Contractual Workers (Samvida Karmis) from all state government departments, boards, corporations, and government companies.
  • Families who received COVID-19 Ex-gratia assistance.
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families.
  • MNREGA workers (registered for at least one year).
  • Beneficiaries already covered under Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Swasthya Bima Yojana. This state scheme works alongside central programs like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).

2. Paid Category (Beneficiaries pay a nominal premium):

  • All other Rajasthan families who are not government employees/pensioners and are not already covered under free categories or any other government medical attendance rules can avail of the scheme by paying a nominal annual premium of ₹850. The remaining 50% of the premium is borne by the state government.

Household Exclusions:

  • Central and State Government Employees and Pensioners, as they are covered under separate schemes like the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) or Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
  • Families already receiving medical benefits under other government medical attendance rules.
