To avail the benefits of the UP Shadi Anudan Yojana, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Domicile: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Economic Status: The applicant's family must belong to the economically weaker sections (BPL - Below Poverty Line) from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minorities, or the General category.
  • Annual Family Income:
    • For rural areas, the annual family income should not exceed ₹46,080.
    • For urban areas, the annual family income should not exceed ₹56,460.
  • Age Criteria:
    • The daughter for whom the grant is sought must be 18 years of age or older at the time of marriage.
    • The groom must be 21 years of age or older at the time of marriage.
  • Number of Daughters: Financial assistance is provided for a maximum of two daughters per family.
  • Bank Account: The beneficiary (daughter) must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account in a nationalized bank for direct benefit transfer.
  • Application Timeline: The application must be submitted within 90 days before or 90 days after the marriage date. Applications outside this window will not be processed.

Applicants need to prepare the following documents for the UP Shadi Anudan Yojana application. Ensure all documents are clear, valid, and correctly formatted for online submission. Remember to Resize Documents with Photo Resizer Tool before uploading photos and signature files.

  • Aadhaar Card: Of both the applicant (parent/guardian) and the daughter.
  • Income Certificate: Latest annual income certificate issued by a competent authority (Tehsildar/SDM/Lekhpal).

  • Domicile/Residence Certificate: Proof of permanent residence in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Bank Passbook: Copy of the first page of the applicant's Aadhaar-linked bank passbook showing account number, IFSC code, and bank details.
